Does Edelweiss sounds familiar to you? If you guys watch 'Sound of Music' , you can hear this songs in this movie. Edelweiss is actually a name of flower which grow in Swiss Alps.
If you live in Korea, and you never got any chance to visit Swiss, don't worry! You can find a small replica of Swiss Village here in Gapyeong. Gapyeong is not very far from Seoul. You may take one day trip to this village and enjoy the beautiful view of Gapyeong.
In order to get here, you need to take subway to Cheongpyeong Station. The last station of this line is Chuncheon. Then after you go out from Cheongpyeong Station, you will realize there is nothing here. But don't worry, take a breath. From here you have to take intercity bus no 700 and get off at Seorak Terminal. When you get off here, I suggest you to take taxi. You might take bus, but the bus not come that often. It will cost you around ten thousand to take taxi to this village. The journey to this village will take around 30-40 minutes.
Finally I arrived in Swiss Village. Just from the picture, you can see that this village looks beautiful, right? The entrance to this village is 10,000 won. Here you can find several houses that has different concept inside.
The village is not very big. Some of these houses were for rent and people are also living there too.

You can find some beautiful paintings on the street too
And also, you can wear bear mask for free! However you cannot wear this mask while walking around the village. They only have two masks and you can only wear it around the shop.

It's kind of sad because the transportation to go to this village is kind of difficult, especially for people who does not know any Korean. I hope that they will make a shuttle bus to make people easier to reach here.
