1. Junknokwon Garden (Bamboo Garden)죽녹원
Situated at the basin of the ravine in Gojisan Mountain along
the Geumseongsan mountain fortress and the Chuweolsan mountain range,
Daenamugol (대나무골) is surrounded by tall bamboo trees. In spring, the soft green
bamboo shoots blanket the whole field; it also serves as a habitat for
sedentary birds to take care of their eggs.
The
landscaping of the Daenamugol Bamboo Park encapsulates the value of bamboo
trees. You can enjoy the fresh crisp air walking in the bamboo grove and the
thick pine tree forest. You can try the tea from wild bamboo tea trees grown in
the bamboo forest. You can also try green tea ice cream here! The park also has
Green Town; it includes a playground made out of grass, a hall, an outdoor
cooking facility, shower booths, sports fields (volley ball, Jokgu, table
tennis, badminton). The theme park has appeared as a backdrop for movies like ‘The Last Witness,’ ‘Sword in the Moon’ as well as in the popular TV drama series ‘Hometown Legends,’ ‘Damo’ and in a number of commercials.

2. Metasequoia Road(메타세콰이어길) – 30

Metasequoia trees were planted along the street in the early
1970s when the Ministry of Internal Affairs officially designated the road as a
“boulevard.” At that time, the saplings were only 3 to 4 years old and their
branches stretched sparsely out into the sky; now, the trees have grown so high
that they seem to block out the sun! Thanks to these stately trees, in 2002 the
Korea Forest Service selected the boulevard as one of the most beautiful roads
in Korea.
The 4
kilometer-long boulevard is located along National Road No. 24 and is one of
the most popular driving routes in Korea, especially during summer when the
trees’ lush green leaves are at
their height of beauty. Feel free to stop your car along the roadside to take a
walk among these 10 to 20-meter-tall trees and breathe their fresh scent.
Bicycling along this route and appreciating its real beauty at a leisurely pace
is also highly recommended.

ivy-covered walls until you reach some of the finest examples of original hanok
houses. If the weather is fine, you can spend a tranquil afternoon strolling
around this village.
Make sure to look for the hanok houses of the Go Family, who
have been living in this village for many generations. For a really special
experience, you could spend a night in a hanok guesthouse, and there are plenty

still done by hand in the traditional way

The 1915m-high mountain is located in Jirisan National Park. The park spans three provinces (North, South Jeolla and South Gyeongsang) and is the largest in Korea. The largest proportion of the national park is in the province of South Gyeongsang. The highest peak of the mountain, Cheonhwangbong is also located in this province. Another well-known peak is Samshin-bong (Three Spirits Peak).

There are seven major Buddhist temples on Jirisan. Hwaeomsa is the largest and best-known temple among these. It contains several national treasures, mostly stone artworks from about 600–900 CE. The mountain is also home to the Cheonghak-dong (Azure Crane Village) alpine valley, which includes the Samseonggung (Three Sages Palace), which is a site celebrating one of Korea's foundation myths.
